As the nation’s leading American Latino dance company, the iconic Ballet Hispánico New York returns to captivate St. Louis audiences after nearly 25 years.
The evening of performances will honor Latina women shaping the future of contemporary dance with MUJERES: Women in Motion, showcasing three powerful choreographic voices from across the Americas:

Ballet Hispánico New York is the nation’s renowned Latino dance organization and one of America’s Cultural Treasures. For 50 years Ballet Hispánico New York has been bringing communities together to celebrate and explore Latino cultures through innovative dance performances, transformative dance training, and enduring community engagement experiences.
The organization’s founder, National Medal of Arts recipient Tina Ramirez, sought to give voice to the Hispanic experience and break through stereotypes. Today, Ballet Hispánico New York is led by Eduardo Vilaro, an acclaimed choreographer and former member of the Company, whose vision of social equity, cultural identity, and quality arts education for all drives its programs.
